On August 14, 2020, Co-Win held a media conference on the on-board methanol water reforming hydrogen production system. Tongchengzhi, director of Jilin Provincial Office in Guangzhou, yanchangfeng, researcher of Guangzhou Institute of energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wang Chao, associate professor of Guangdong University of technology, attended the conference. Gaojiming, managing director of Co-Win said that with the assistance and promotion of Tianhe District government, smart city park and other relevant departments, Co-Win has realized the promotion and commercial application of hydrogen energy technology in communication, security and other fields. After years of unremitting efforts by all colleagues of the company, this set of on-board methanol reforming hydrogen production system has finally been successfully developed, which also marks a new breakthrough in China's heavy-duty on-board hydrogen energy technology.
In the next technical introduction, the technician of Co-Win proudly introduced: "this heavy truck has no noise, no large hydrogen storage tank, and a longer endurance mileage.". This means that the on-board methanol reforming hydrogen production system independently developed by Co-Win has achieved a complete success in the test stage. The implementation of this achievement indicates that the integration of "methanol reforming hydrogen production technology" and "fuel cell power generation technology" as the power driving unit technology of heavy trucks has made an important breakthrough.
In recent years, with the increasingly serious environmental pollution and shortage of energy resources in China, the development of clean energy represented by hydrogen energy is a national energy strategy to achieve green, environmental protection and sustainable development. Among them, the control of vehicle exhaust pollution and the consumption of fossil energy by vehicles are closely related to our lives. With the strong support of national policies, all major automobile enterprises have increased their research and development efforts to develop new energy vehicles suitable for China's national conditions. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (hfcv) has become the most promising scheme in the field of new energy vehicles because of its advantages such as high energy conversion efficiency, long range and environmental friendliness. At present, most of the technical solutions are to carry high-pressure hydrogen storage tanks for hydrogen supply. The main problem brought by this technical route is the safety of carrying high-pressure hydrogen storage tanks (35-70mpa) in mobile vehicles. Its huge volume also reduces the effective cargo storage space of logistics vehicles.
The on-board methanol reforming hydrogen production system can solve a series of problems caused by high-pressure hydrogen storage. Methanol is a widely sourced liquid hydrogen rich raw material. The cost of hydrogen production through methanol water reforming reaction can be reduced to 0.8-1.5 yuan /nm3, which is far lower than that of other fossil fuel hydrogen production and electrolytic hydrogen production technologies. Methanol is a bulk chemical with abundant output in China. Its industrial system is complete and mature, with low storage and transportation cost and good safety. It is an ideal hydrogen carrier at present.
Co-Win with its unique strategic vision, relying on the technical accumulation and experience of the team over the years, accurately grasped this technical idea, integrated the "methanol reforming hydrogen production technology" and "fuel cell power generation technology", and developed and manufactured methanol reforming hydrogen production power generation equipment to meet the needs of different scenarios, including mobile communication base station power supply, emergency vehicles, data center power backup, military fields, etc, The "production, storage, transportation, charging" and other safety technical bottlenecks of hydrogen have been broken through.
In order to realize the application of methanol reforming to produce hydrogen for power generation in logistics transportation heavy trucks, Co-Win has developed this on-board methanol reforming system. After many tests, the system test results have reached a number of domestic leading and international first-class technical indicators:
(1) Increase hydrogen production to 650l/min-1200l/min;
(2) The start-up and shutdown time is greatly reduced to less than 30 minutes, and the cooling time is reduced to less than 1 hour;
(3) The use pressure of hydrogen is reduced to 0.1MPa to enhance the safety of hydrogen use;
(4) Under the same power generation capacity, the volume of hydrogen generator is equivalent to one third of the volume of hydrogen tank;
(5) The hydrogen cost of hydrogen generator is only about one third of that of pure hydrogen.
Aiming at the heavy truck project of methanol reforming hydrogen fuel cell, Co-Win will further improve the optimization of methanol reforming hydrogen production and hydrogen power generation powertrain, so as to achieve smaller unit volume and longer vehicle mileage; It is expected that the GDP will reach 30billion yuan in the next three years, striving to be at the forefront of R & D and industrialization in the field of hydrogen energy.
